“Society” is handcrafted from a solid piece of cherry wood. The hands grasping branches were made from formed and polished stainless steel.
This sculpture is about the cruelty people show toward one another, i.e.: race, culture, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation. Stefan is making a statement is about bullying and verbal abuse in today’s society.
The sculpture was displayed at the annual Langley Arts Festival where Stefan’s sculptures were the talk of the show. This sculpture earned recognition for its message prevalent in today’s society.
